The Miyazaki mango, also known as “Eggs of Sunshine” (Taiyo-no-Tomago), is a rare and highly prized Japanese mango variety famous for its distinct taste, rich aroma, and smooth texture. It can fetch prices as high as Rs 2.7 lakh per kilogram. These mangoes are known for their vibrant color transition from purple to flaming red when ripe, and their unique shape, resembling dinosaur eggs. They are cultivated in Miyazaki city in Japan, where the climate and soil conditions are ideal for mango cultivation.
